Add Sig Add a custom signature and photo to the bottom of posts with the author’s information. (This is the “about the author” section you see at the end of every post on this blog.)

Akismet Akismet checks the comments your blog receives against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not. You need a WordPress.com API key to use it. You can review the spam it catches under “Comments” and then delete or approve. (This plugin is a must-have if you get a lot of comment spam.)

It’s amazing what some people will say. And what lengths they will go to say it. Even though you try to be accommodating, there will always be some disgruntled employee, jealous boyfriend, unsatisfied customer or other detractor ready to post all sorts of nasty things about you on the Internet.

Some of it might even be true…but with a nasty twist. Some of it might be pure fabrication. Either way, there is little you can do to stop them.

But the worst part is that when somebody Google’s your name, or your business name, they find something entitle “scam report” and your name or business name attached to it. Or “poor credit report” with your name attached to it.

Online marketing has become a very competitive field in the past couple of years. There are so many online businesses on the internet that sell the same products but all are sold by different stores.
