For example: if the primary key word I trying to optimize on a web site is “better bearings” how important is it to try and buy the domain “betterbearings.com” vs “mybetterbearings.com”. Is having the exact domain for the keyword significantly better?

Hi there.
First off, I just want to confess that I’m relatively new to SEO and page ranking.
I’m planning to open up a website and want to get it into the first page of search engines (yahoo, google) and want to know if having a – (dash) as in example www.happy-dog.com will affect my page ranking?
I guess what I’m trying to ask is which domain is better?
www.happydog.com?
or
www.happy-dog.com?

Domain forwarding. Penalized by Google? Why is it promoted by yahoo? Please help…?

I bought this domain name hm 2 weeks ago ? or less, and I optimized the website as much as posibile, i am already crawled by google , yahoo, and other goodies and on top of that last week and till today i receved over 450 visits which is not bad i think for 2 weeks. Now the question !!!
What does it come in your mind if i say “blog or not to blog?”
Should i sell this domain name ? for like $200 ?
What should i specialize my post to ?

I just bought a great new domain ($X,XXX) and I want to optimize it for SEO. But I know that it takes a while before Google trust new domains even if I get good backlinks. So I was thinking about buying a 2 or 3 years old domain with PR3-4 in the same niche and then 301 redirect it to my new domain.
Would that help building quick trust from Google so I could start SEO sooner?
