I was recently perusing results on the leading search engines, I seemed to notice that long URLs weren’t very popular on the first couple pages for several keywords. That intrigued me, so I performed a true statistical analysis to see if my observation was merely a coincidence or a true correlation and affect search engine optimization.

Most sites on the web rely heavily on images to give the page a more visually appealing look or to explain something to the site’s visitor. Examples of the latter can be a photo of the owner of the site or some kind of map that can explain something to the visitor more easily than when using text.
Search engines, at the moment, can’t “read” images. The phrase “An image is worth a thousand words” is not true in SEO-land.

Select a subject that defines your niche will position you as an expert in that field. This type of targeted marketing will greatly increase your Page Ranking (PR) and make it much easier for visitors interested in your niche to find you. Having a clear vision of your niche is an important part of your marketing efforts. If you haven’t selected a niche then select three to five topic you are interested in. Investigate each possible niche, by evaluating the level of interest’s people have and most important are they spending money for products in that niche.
